Gifts of property other than cash, listed securities and real estate can also offer you significant tax advantages while benefiting Big Walnut high school students and alumni.

If you are interested in making a gift of personal property such as art or rare books, or of closely-held stock, please contact us.

While the Big Walnut Education Foundation is grateful for every donor’s charitable intentions, some types of gifts require prior approval and legal forms of acceptance. The tax laws governing deductions for gifts of appreciated real property can be complex. For more information, consult your financial advisor or see IRS Publication 561.

The Big Walnut Education Foundation is a tax-exempt, charitable organization under section 501(c)3 of the Internal Revenue Code; therefore, contributions are tax deductible for income, estate, gift and tax savings purposes. Any contribution, large or small, is greatly appreciated. The Big Walnut Education Foundation operates with no administrative staff, so you know 100% of your gift goes toward projects or scholarships.

Contact your financial advisor and/or see the IRS Website for questions on tax deductibility.
