FOR SCHOLARSHIP APPLICANTS:
- All applications are due by 11:59pm on February 28, 2025. Apply to one of three categories for seniors or for a Continuing scholarship if you are currently enrolled in post-secondary education.
- A few top senior applicants will be called to the Guidance Office for interviews, which will be held on Wednesday, March 19, 2025. There are no interviews for students applying for a Continuing scholarship.
- If you are invited to an interview, you will receive notification in advance from the Guidance Office. Interviews will take 15-20 minutes and will be scheduled between 7:30am-10:30am on that day. Most scholarship recipients will not participate in interviews; again, only a few top senior applicants will be asked for an interview as decisions are finalized.
FOR SCHOLARSHIP RECIPIENTS:
- Award notifications will be sent out in mid-April by the BWHS Guidance Office on behalf of the BWEF.
- Honors Night is typically in the evening on the first Monday in May. Seniors receive their scholarships publicly at this ceremony. “Continuing” winners do not attend.
- College Information Forms are due online or to the BWHS Guidance Office on or before Graduation Day each year. The link below will become active when scholarship season opens; typically early to mid-January each year.
BWEF College Information Form
- This form will be handed out at Awards Night and is also available as a Google doc (see link above), as a hardcopy, and/or as a QR code (the latter two options are available through the Guidance Office).
- THE DAY OF GRADUATION IS A HARD DEADLINE, as the Guidance Office closes for the summer. If we do not have your form by graduation, you will lose access to (and therefore void) any and all scholarship funds.
- In 2025, BWHS graduation is Saturday, May 17th. Forms must be in by 11:59pm.
- Again, it is absolutely critical that we have your college information and ID number through this form before Graduation Day (or May 17, 2025); without it, we have no ability to send your funds and your scholarship will be voided.
- We recommend that you provide a personal or parent’s email address rather than your high school email address as the high school closes your email account shortly after graduation.
- Completed forms may be returned directly to the Guidance Office or emailed to [email protected].
- Any hardcopy forms mailed USPS with any risk of arriving after BWHS graduation or slid under the door of the Guidance Office with any risk of being received after graduation may not be received. The postmarked date does not apply in this situation. Forms must be in hand on or before the day of BWHS graduation.
